“Ai” is the Japanese word for love. Pronounced “eye”, this press is a celebration of that creative force of the universe. At Ai Press, “ai” means unbridled passion!

Our romances at Ai Press are highly erotic with explicit love scenes.

What formats are available?
Books are available in both e-book and print, depending on length. Short stories and novella-length stories are available in PDF, Amazon Kindle format (MOBI), Barnes and Noble Nook (EPUB) and Sony (LRF) while novels are available in both e-book and print. Other major formats of our titles, HTML, Rocket, Palm DOC, and Microsoft LIT are available through AllRomanceEbooks.

Where can I buy Ai Press titles?

Directly from Ai Press. We accept PayPal and Google Checkout. Additional purchase links are provided for available books from 1Place For Romance, All Romance Ebooks, Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble. This enables you to purchase an Ai Press title in the most convenient way for you.

Why are some of the titles only available through Amazon Kindle?

Some of the titles that have been available for a longer period have been enrolled in the Amazon Kindle Select program which makes them available for lending. In this case, these titles must be offered exclusively through Amazon. If there is a title you wish to purchase but you do not have a Kindle reader, please contact us directly: ai_press@yahoo.com and we can work something out to make the title available to you.

Ebook Formats – How to Choose

PDF

This format may be printed out for reading, but be aware that it will be set for a 6″x9″ page. You could reduce the text slightly and print the pages two-up horizontally on your letter-sized sheet, you could print it as-is and have a lot of white space, or you could scale it up for a large-print approximation.

PDFs may be read on most computers with the free Adobe Reader. They may also be read with Preview, which comes standard with Macs.

Because PDFs were created for the printing process to keep text from moving around, PDF text does not flow. If you wish to resize, reflow, or otherwise convert your text, consider one of the other file formats.

MOBI

Mobipocket makes a reader that is Windows/Mac/Linux compatible. You may also use Mobipocket reader on many mobile devices, such as Blackberry, PalmPilot, PocketPC, Smartphone, and more. Click here for more information on the free Mobipocket Reader.

Mobi files may also be emailed to and read natively on the Kindle.

HTML

HTML is a versatile file format that may be read in any web browser and on many mobile devices.

Submissions

At this time we are currently acquiring M/M and M/F/M in the following subgenres: contemporary, sci-fi, steampunk, cowboy and Western, multi-cultural and paranormal (vampire/werewolf/psy).

Length: 25,000 words and up. Explicit erotic scenes and a developing romance with either Happily Ever After or Happy for NOW ending. Aside from being erotic with a higher number of erotic scenes, stories must have strong characters and storyline. Mansucripts must be clean and need very little editing. Always have a proofreader or beta-reader look over your work before sending it.

Heat level: No “sweet” romance. Stories must have a high and EXPLICIT level of erotic tension and content, though that same content need not be kinky. It can be “meat and potatoes”, as long as the emotions are strong between the characters and the eroticism flows naturally from the developing romance. No sex thrown in just for show.

Dark Sins line – can be pure erotica – no need for romance or HEA. Heavy bondage allowed. However, the same rules apply as to the romances as described below.

We do NOT want:
underage sex (under 18)
bodily functions (i.e. golden showers, things like that)
bestiality
rape or non-consensual sex of any kind
adultery
heavy BDSM (with the exception of Dark Sins)

Terms:
50/50 on digital and 10% on print. All titles 50k and over are eligible for print based on initial sales.
